Your information is incomplete. The Daimons have supplied a few(!) 
unique items to adventurers who were of... service. I can't say more 
without ruining several plots.

But, among other things, it wasn't the same item being traded back and 
forth half a dozen times. And it wasn't freebies, the adventurers 
actually had to do something for the honour. In scale, implementation 
and intention, these cases are not identical.
