For all I know, what we lose are cultures that should've never existed
anyways.

He could be sending simple letters. If his word is that important, the
message type really shouldn't matter.

Nonsense. Darka should be a realm to really embrace the military
hierarchy. The change could be used to strengthen the image here - the
general doesn't order individual nobles around, he couldn't be bothered
to even deal with them, he's far above that. You want orders? Wait in
line like the lowly knight you are until your marshal gets around
dealing with you.

Some of the most influential characters in this game never ordered
anyone, or even requested anything. The absolutist french king wouldn't
ORDER something. He didn't have to. He'd just say, as if to himself, "we
would be grateful indeed to anyone who would take care of this or that
problem."
Orders are for people who don't have any REAL authority. And that's not
even a medieval feature. The CEO in my company issues a lot less
"orders" than most of the low-ranking managers.

Yes, it is extremely hard to stop this micromanaging bullshit. Maybe I
should just kick the worst offenders out of the game and be done with it.

And the second I find out that you make that a job requirement, you'll
find your account locked, as that's a straighforward violation of the #1
Inalienable Right.

See my other mails. That is total crap except if you insist on
micro-managing.
