Well no, but that's a false analogy - our characters might have thought,
upon seeing a new name, "Hmm, never heard of this new ruler person - I
think I might have my scribe look him up." And they would, via the
character list, and furnish you with relevant details about their
family, their achievements, etc etc. And if its on a ruler level, it
would be (at least near-total) continent wide knowledge as nearly
everyone who is anyone can write to rulers.

Haktoo, on the other hand, is *not* on the character list, so I think
it's a fairly safe bet to assume your scribe can tell you nothing of
this strangely named person, not even his surname since it;s not
apparent when attempting to write to him/her/it/whatever. Your
character, for his or her part, might have heard of such mysteries
surrounding the Beluaterra invasion, perhaps your
brothers/sisters/cousins made mention of strange demons, monsters and
undead with similar enigmatic addresses, and certainly be entitled to a
little suspicion, not to mention some fear (these *are* nasty things
we're talking about, and it's pretty natural to fear the unknown anyway).

In any case, I hope there aren't daimons or similar on Dwilight, though
I don't hold much hope of it being changed - not just because of the
whole colonisation thing, which people seem to be focusing on, but from
a purely OOC perspective because the Daimons are probably the most
marmite-esque creation in BM that I've seen to date - and there's many
more people on the hate side than the love side that I've seen.
