First I am not complaining or winning about what has happened here. I just do not like the fact that it has happened and wanted to get your input of the subject matter. And some suggestions as to continue the roleplay as I seem to come to a block probably due to the fact that I am upset someone ruined mine fun. As well as my chance to get a fame point from a possible death by duel. not really upset that much about that but wanted to throw that in.
So here is the scene of events.
Place : Morek, Dwilight
Time: About three weeks to the present date
Event: Duel to Death
Setting: Aftermath of rebellion in Morek
After the rebellion in Morek was dealt with my character Aram Stien stepped down from his position as High Inquisitor of Morek. There were really three reason why he stepped down but there are countless reason why he stay in office as long as he did, that is another subject all together and not so much important here.
The fact that he stepped down did not stop the feeling between him and a few sect nobles in the realm, as could be expected. The fact that the blame of regions going rouge as a result of the rebellion and poor maintenance, being blamed on Aram is also apparent and unavoidable. weather it is true or not that was his fault still has not been proven to him. also not important right now.
Aram left with other members on a mission that ending up failing due to some of the members not being able to go as planed because they were asked to do other task before they left. This caused Aram to speak out about the failure and accuse the current government of not supporting the mission completely as they should have been doing in the first place. this did not set well with some of the current government official epically his replacement the new High Inquisitor who slapped a fine on him for seditious lies about her and other government officials. this cause outcries amongst the other nobles and Lords and she began to get notices of disagreements from some.
which lead to a discussion of how the realm was being governed and what he and other thought of it. one of his letters was dissected and replied to by the then Lady Anabellium who had a tendency to speak her mind with out know all of the full details of what she was talking about or to whom she was really talking to. Even still she was a Marshall and well respected in the realm.
In one occurrence of this type of quoting what was said and the replying to it she insulted Aram in accusing him of frequenting the local Whore Houses. This did not set well of course with Aram as he is high protective of his Noble Blood and has been roelplayed this for all of his life.
So he demanded a public apology from her and a letter of apology written to his roleplayed out wife Balkeese Indirik Duchess of Castle Ubent of Perdan, Sister of Lord Brance Indirik, of Morek. He also demanded that this be done before he arrived in the region where lady Anabellium was currently preforming a To of a region. If this was done then the duel of death challenge would not be issued. Once he arrived in the region and th e apology had been been issued he sent out his challenge of duel to her.
first I issued the challenge with attached letter stating that if she went ahead and sent out the apology that she could decline the duel. but if she did not and lost the duel and still lived that the letter to be written out would still be required from her for his wife. After I did that I roleplayed that the letter had not yet arrived or the announcement of her apology, and that the order for the challenge was written up and sent out to her. which it had already been done actually.
it was then that I received the event notice as did the rest of the realm that the player had paused his character Anabellium and gave no reason as to why. to tell you the truth I was shocked that this was how it was dealt with. and furious but I began a new roleplay that stated that Anabellium had decided not to accept either of the conditions of the challenge and that instead she pack up her things and took her scribe and a few maids with her in the middle of night, leaving everything behind not even telling her Capitan of her unit what was going to happen. but now i am lost as to where to go from here with roleplay.

just before sunrise---
Aram was sitting in his small chair the one that Lesee had given himfor his birthday several years ago. It was his favorite chair and wellworn over the years but also broken into his liking. he had justfinished his meal and was enjoying the heat from blazer and a freshAixen Whiskey from his personal stock, it was a gift from his formerLiege and mentor of the last several years Duke Screndt of Aix.
The tent flap flew open and the scribe was obviously upset aboutsomething. Seeing his lord sitting in his chair he quickly bowed andbegan to speak.
"My lord it seems we have still not
received word from Lady Anabellium of her intent to either make her
apology or accept your challenge of duel."
Aram threw his glass at the tent walls across from where he was sitting. "Well
I have no choice but to make my challenge official then. write out the
Challenge and have it delivered to Lady Anabellium as soon as possible."
Aram rose to his feet and walked outside he had to prepare as he alwaysdid before any duel weather it be in a tournament of the old days ofthe ones that had occurred while he was elder of the EIDA in Perdan.his ritual lasted many hours and they always ended with hours ofmeditation and prayer. any deviation of his ritual would be adistraction that could be costly epically now.

Aramwas in the middle of a difficult sword maneuver call the "CrouchingTiger Lunges for the Raven" when his scribe came up at a safe distanceand watched in marveled as his lord was in complete control of hisevery muscles and movements.
when the time was right he cleared his throat and waited, then a few minuets later he again cleared his throat.
"I heard you the first time Dill what it that you feel is so important to interrupt me at this time!" said Aram in forceful but steady voice that did not carry any further than what was need for Dill his scribe to hear clearly.
"My
lord it seems lady Anabellium has decided that neither of the choices
you gave her were acceptable and has decided to go on the run she took
her scribe and a few other maidens in her care and vanished in the
middle of night not even her captain knew of her plans. It seems sir
that you have been duped my Lord."
Aram stopped in themiddle of "Prancing Crane Over Lilly Pads" his sword arm poised abovehis head with the swords behind his head and pointing towards theground over his right shoulder. While the other was out stretchedtoward his front in a downwards angle. He was on the toes of the softsoled boot of his left leg and his left was curled upward ready tospring the attack.
"What you say she has vanished in the middle of the night! This can't be so!"

So what I am curious about is what other think or fell they would do in this situation with their character.
