Though you skipped it over, I won't. :) I've never been to a realm
with such a high average income as 100 per noble. I usually tell new
people to bargain for around 50g, which is the average in my
experience. Some lords cut down on the number of knights and provide
with 80, I've seen that. But in all my realms, if our goal would be
the 100 gold, we'd have dozens of unaligned nobles complaining of no
income. Note - we already have a few.
So I think you can't actually say that realms typically average 100gold/noble.
On the RP side of the story, I agree that people make too little of
their character's honour, and specially on Dwilight, they shouldn't.
Even that the Duke didn't accept the duel, he should have done
something, like arranging your ban, arranging a fine, arranging your
exile or having one of his knights fight you.
On another note, knights should also be expected to fight for their
liege's honour... would add interesting spice.
