I suppose this is what I'm trying to convey, I don't consider the word 
'crap' to be a swear word.  Another noble lost a point of honour for 
saying the word "ass" in the same realm - which I personally would never 
use that word.  But "ass" another word for "bottom", how are we to know 
whether or not it was a word used in the middle ages?

I'm an engineer and a mathematician, I have no interest in history.  If 
you start telling me I have to study the middle ages and the language 
used at that time to play Battlemaster without disadvantage, that's just 
taking things too far.
