Protest his inability of keeping your region well oiled and working for your
taxes to come out the best possible? Protest spending money in useless
things instead of leaving for region taxes? Protest for offering an unfair
share?

I think there is much to protest about Lords, even that maybe the knights
would message the Duke to do it for them.

Also, there could be a way for a knight to reward a good liege. If lords are
to be protested, maybe markings, that make him a bit more immune to
protesting from other knights... Something like that. Not marks that work
exactly like knight marks, since then they would just trade marks to be both
safe from banning and such... Too abusable.

Even that none of this protest options come to consideration, I'd like to
see a better way for knights to reward their liege, other than loyalty and
eventually a family investment if you have the money. Could be something
that does nothing: just a marking for people to know this lord is
appreciated.
