clarification.

3rd point wasn't about a designated family religion. (it could be an 
option but that's a different topic) It's more like you hear about 
religions that your other characters have joined and have an 
understanding. (do aspirants count?)

2nd point... just noticed that it's.. eh.. invalid.. in the sense that 
you don't get to choose the region to join. (I don't think you do.. been 
a while)... thus it's more an option for after you've created the character.

similarly.. for characters in new families.. the only options would be 
paganism.

there might be a problem of entry fees. especially if there's a fee for 
even the lowest rank. I suppose that could be paid out from the family 
wealth upon character creation.

not sure about commoners (5 gold entrance fee or more).. not logical for 
them not to being able to start with a religion per se.. but does one 
separate what one believes in (like the thousands and whatever peasant 
followers) and being a commoner religious member with communication 
channels?
