It's a comparison. Compared to other realms, there is apparently little
war. And that doesn't mean battles.

Yes, I do agree that your realm might be the edge where the code doesnt
behave the way it should.

That's not a comforting statement. Of course I am at war with less
realms then the other countries... I've got one region to work with.
What am I supposed to do when apparently the code is only looking at the
diplomatic page and simply counting how many check marks are in the
"war" category? Well, the good news is that Giblot will soon be at war
with the Assassins because of the coding change so I'll at least not get
the message about liberals any more. Awesome!
I hear time and again how the game has turned into nothing more then "we
must win at all cost" mentality and getting decent RP's and something
deeper beyond just the battle mechanics is hard to do. I have strived
very hard to make it more then that and I have included not just the
rulers of other realms in this but the entire realm of the Assassins as
well as many nobles from Wetham, Outer Tilog, and various nobles Giblot,
Alebad, Alowca and to some extent even Lukon whenever possible. And yet
here we sit with this coding change and all of that talk and planning
and strategy undermined. All of that effort for naught.
Apparently the social experiment in the colonies is just about the war
aspect... perhaps those of you that like to do away with all that boring
RP stuff should leave the "war islands" and come to the colonies instead
since it appears the only thing that really matters is how much gold you
have and how many active players you have in your realm to field that
army. Hey, do you have a bunch of OOC friends that you can get to play
as well? Perfect... then you'll not need to even bother responding to
RP's and you can simply coordinate activities and keep it all about
strategy and tactics. In the end, apparently trying to win a war now
has one solution, your military. So don't bother with the politics that
go beyond; "Hey, you want more regions? KK, you take that one, I'll
take this one." No longer does it matter that I out maneuvered another
realm and their counsel politically and I managed to isolate them and by
making good alliances and playing smarter and at a deeper level and
appealing to a higher sense of morals etc. Apparently I'm suppose to
justify IC some reason to declare war on an even bigger realm then the
one already kicking my butt. Whatever.
Months of role playing and planning is getting screwed over and with the
current issues about the invasion... the frustrations you and the GM's
are feeling about so much effort and RP's being shot down... I'm sure
you understand my frustrations in this matter as well. Is there going
to be some reasonable adjustment to this code or should I inform the
realm that we're all kamikaze pilots now and to drink up and prepare for
the end?
