Absolutely, unequivocally, 100%, yes. It would be disastrous.
Personally, I would be in favour of a total purge of all state-run
religions, *including* Darkanism. I think it's much better than most
of them, because it is, in fact, well-roleplayed, and was before
religion was officially implemented in-game.
But the fact remains that it serves no purpose other than to be
another arm of Darka's government. *THAT* is what is very, very bad.
We need religions to have no realm allegiance. It's perfectly fine
for religions to have *influence* on realms--indeed, that's exactly
what we want, eventually. But we DO NOT want religions to be
controlled by realms and used purely for their benefit.
