your role and shut your mouth."  Yes, this reaction to the squeaky-wheel
complainers out there is a bit over the top.  But you forget one crucial bit
of information.  We're not only playing a game amongst friends- we're also
playing at Tom's house.

And to further your argument by misrepresenting the entire situation and
reason for Tom's declaration- well, at best it's stupidity, and at its
worst, it's abusive.  Tom's concern is that he's thrown out a number of
storylines for people to chase and roleplay with.  But the vast majority see
"If invasion, Then build up army; If massive CS, Then win".  To counter with
"we roleplay and you're not, you big meanie" is absurd.

And to pull out any claims of abuse of power because the daimons have
summoned a "huge strong army out of nowhere" only helps Tom's disappointment
gain credence.  I know he's tired of people complaining about the whole
thing at every turn of the bend.  So much for trying something new and
innovative, which took a good deal of time out of his own life to do.  A
great concept- and one that had so much potential as more than just a
"numbers win" invasion- goes awry because players think they are entitled to
something.

You're not.  Play the game or go home.
