Frankly, a noble who was never seen publicly would have problems  
keeping his stats up--particularly prestige, as it's hard to be  
talked about a lot when no one ever sees you, and honour, as people  
will wonder what you're doing all that time, and why you won't let  
people see you.

It will simply add another element of realism to the experience of  
being a noble.

I'm not sure it's a necessary feature--but I do like that aspect of  
it, at least.
