It is perfectly possible for a noble to be related to any number of
commoners through blood.
If, for instance, Lord Yoyopants has 12 bastard children with his
lady's maids, and one legitimate full-blood heir, it's entirely
possible for said heir to recognize his 12 siblings, even if they are
not officially acknowledged.
Whether he would talk about them publicly is another matter, and I'm
not sure of all the repercussions of it. However, I can imagine that
he *might* be kindly disposed toward them, and attempt to intercede
on their behalf if they got into trouble, so long as it didn't cost
him much.
