I really wish there were more ways of getting back at nobles claiming
that certain commoners are related to them. I have before gotten into
duels over the subject (particularly because my character was hunting
adventurers out of boredom, and refused to apologize over the issue)
If he had been my knight at the time, I probably would have given a
bad mark over the subject. Should I ever end up a ruler, I WOULD
question nobility of any noble claiming that a commoner is related to
them.

Only thing is, there are only so many things you can do in most cases.
