I can't remember the rationale behind it offhand. However, it is one
of those restrictions that has been in place since time immemorial
for gameplay balance reasons, similar to (and perhaps partially
pursuant to) the "no realm mergers" rule.
It's possible that it needs re-examining now, but until there is an
official word on the subject, I will continue to assume that it's
Forbidden, and advise other people likewise.
