None of my characters follow "the beliefs of the local peasants."
They all follow the same religion: the one that is, on Atamara, a
relatively well-established in-game religion. If someone founded it
on the continents my other characters are on, they would join, but
they aren't cut out to be men and women of the cloth.
Just because someone doesn't follow a major religion already
established on the continent doesn't mean they're pagan. What
happens if one of the--legendary warrior--elders of a church gets
deported to another continent, where his faith is *known* about, but
not officially established? Would you force him to join another
religion while he's there, just to satisfy your preconceptions about
how the situation ought to be? Even though he's an outspoken member
of another religion, but won't found it because a) he's a warrior at
heart, not a priest, and b) he doesn't intend to be there for very long?
You really need to consider all the implications of blanket
generalizations like you're trying to make here. There are almost
certain to be a dozen different problems caused by trying to solve
problems like this that don't really exist except in your own mind.
