  "Pagan" meant "not-Roman" until Christianity took ho;d, at which
point it changed in sense to mean "Not-Christian"

  In BattleMaster, it pretty clearly refers to anyone of a
non-organized religion or of an organized one that yours want to
declare as not only incompatible and wrong, but less civilized.
