I have, but then again I haven't only seen, but _written_ the code. :-)

Read the Wiki part about Overkill, for one reason. Check your archers 
hit ratios by distance fired for more (all archers in the same line 
means many of them will fire at less than optimum efficiency).

There are more. But like "the earth is flat" and "smoking isn't that 
dangerous", some "wisdoms" are hard to die.
