Do bear in mind the feature has only been around for a few hours.

I would be more concerned about the fact that local lords are the only 
people who can nominate themselves for a lordship - which of course, they 
won't be able to hold. So unless the option for the ruler/duke to appoint 
has also vanished, it's a lot of fuss about nothing.
