If a region changes to another realm in any other way but a takeover,
all its knights will switch with it.
Your loyalty is to your liege first, then to your realm.
That doesn't fit with my notions of a feudal system. It makes more sense to me that a noble would retain allegiance to the previous lord rather than to the new lord from some other realm. If the region changes to another realm in any other way but a takeover and all knights will switch with it, then it sounds like the knights owe allegiance to the estate rather than a person.
I suggest that instead of auto switching allegiance to some new lord, your allegiance goes up the hierarchy within your realm. If Lord C lost his land due to a treaty (or something non-takeover), then you are either without a lord (and without an estate) or your loyalty is to Lord C's lord who just happens to be Lord B.
Your notion of the fuedal system is slightly askew. I thought the same way when I first joined but after some investigation and consultation with history buffs you actually swear an oath of allegiance to a _title_ not an individual. You are literally a Knight of Ossaet, or whatever region, and not a Knight of Bob. If the Lord of Ossaet dies you are still bound to serve the region and whichever new Lord takes Bob's place. This is why the titles attached to your name are much more important than the name itself.
