Your estate belongs to the _region_ you are sworn to. Obviously, it is a 
fixed thing, so you can't take it with you. If you change your region, 
you will lose the estate.

That means: If you choose your realm and region, you will lose your 
estate. If your region changes its realm (but you stay a lord of the 
region), you will keep your estate.
