These are used by lords to rate the performance of the knights sworn 
to their service. I'm not completely clear on what exactly they mean, 
but I believe that if a knight acquires too many blacks marks (2 more 
than good marks?), the oath holder can dissolve the oath. Check the 
archives for messages from Tom, as he has put out a little bit of 
information about it.
