[Discuss] Changing Allegiance as Regionlord and Realm deletion

On BT it's possible to change allegiance as regionlord. My question is why 
doesn't the region switch when the lord switches. Aka the lord switches 
realm but region stayed for a few hours under the old realm.

If  regions can switch auto from one realm to another on gamecode, why can't 
realms with the claims also be "deleted" auto. Aka what or who decides when 
a destroyed realm gives up it's claims.
