Obviously this is the case so let's think about the problem a bit....
Problem: Powergaming; gets more 'tangable' rewards and is thus more common.
Possible solutions;
Disable takeovers; can't destroy your enemy I guess you'll have to
talk to them.
Select Membership: Not allowed on the RP island unless you meet some
form of criteria
Long March: make a map with a series of islands with really long
sailing times between so invasion, while possible, are less likely.
(there's actually a map like this kicking around too)
Spellmasters: a small island in the middle of no where with some
spellmasters still running around, or maybe as pernament leaders
(until they train a replacement we could say). They act as RP mods of
sorts as they use their mortal pawns against eachother (maybe have it
so the island resets like the SW/E, time loop or some such that
they're forced to repeate over and over)
Reminder:
Think tank so just put down anything.... we can sort them later. (have
to go to class so these are just off the top of my head)
