That, too. Plus, you may tell someone, but not necessarily tell them *where* 
that information came from. Then they won't know that it's supposed to OOC, 
then they mention it to someone else, and pretty soon it's an IG rumor. As an 
avid IRCer for the past many months in the #battlemaster channel, I can't even 
begin to tell you the number of times I've heard stuff talked about there, and 
then heard a modified version of it IG.

It has nothing to do with respect or the inability of some people to keep IC/OOC 
separate. It's simple human nature. If you talk about stuff in front of 20-30 
people, then the information *will* spread. If you want it kept outside the 
game, then *don't* talk about it in front of a bunch of strange people, or 
people who possibly have an IG interest in the information.
