I totally agree on this point. One of my characters joined the tournament in
Beluaterra, in Vozzessdor, even though he was banned from the realm. He
didn't go there to cause any trouble, and didn't really have any contact
with the people from Neo Grehk, but it still made me think about how some
people might join tournaments to slander the host realm (or others), taking
advantage of the fact there are no game mechanics to kick them out. It also
doesn't make sense that you can join a tournament in a realm that considers
you to be a traitor (wether the accusation was true or fabricated).
You also bring the point about badgers... I can't agree more. Not being on
Atamara, I haven't heard of the stupid badgers in a long time, however,
there is something else I hear alot which *does* annoy me alot: Doughnuts.
Who in their right minds worship food? WHO!?! They don't! Even gluttons
don't organise themselves to worship food. And they cross the continents
too, now! Sure, the Order of the Doughnuts is a guild, but still! And I hear
about people who want to worship hazlenuts on Dwilight! While there's the
egg thing on Beluaterra, atleast we can consider that a metaphor, but
those...
I mean, sure, it all "fun" and all, but it's incredibly lame RP. It's
stupid, it's retarded, takes from the depth of the world. You get a little
giggle writing and maybe reading it, but overall, it just kills the
atmosphere, and hinders those who want to do real RP.
