Sure they do. They have the same defence that any class without a unit

Not if they don't believe in the religion.Heck, my infil regularly 
targeted enemy priests simply becuase while his religion was officially 
not allowed to call them 
evil/misguided/going-to-burn-in-hell-for-all-eternity-and-all-our-adherents-must-lynch-them, 
he wasn't tied down by the same restraints. Also, he's now a priest, and 
as yet unstabbed :-)
