[Discuss] adventurers cannot read

Ink and paper was expensive (for someone that didn't have any sort of 
financial backing but what he finds), a non-noble would not be able to 
afford it for anything but the most dire of situations, I would think.  
Sending out messages to everyone in the realm wouldn't be practical.
