Evil? Good? There are varying degrees of each.

When I start a character, I decide how to play them. When I first started
playing, well...I'm a good person so all 3 of my characters were good
people. One has since died, and now...well the three I run now are all over
the place. The plotter, the revenge seeker, the slightly insane one, the
dedicated one (to who or what...well...), the one who discusses matters with
enemies of the realm, the one who may or may not lead the opposite sex on...

So who is to say what is good and what is evil? It's definitely more fun to
play with goals in mind than to just mindlessly follow orders and move this
way or that on command. How you reach those goals is a whole other matter.
