Then can we maybe have it changed a bit.

We have Royal, Lord, Knight, Noble. Perhaps we can have another type 
added to the list, lets call it Disposed for now.
When the ruler questions someones nobility, it maybe starts something 
like a referendum. If a majority agree he loses titles and becomes 
Disposed, meaning only half taxes. Not sure about how exactly it would 
work in the alligence system for taxes. Yet if the majority disagree 
with the ruler, they just lose there title and are returned to noble. 
The ruler also losing a great many Honour and Prestige because the realm 
though him wrong.
