This particular war has been going on for quite some time. Many of the
characters have grown quite a hatred of the opposite realms. This inevitably
leads to tempers flaring on both sides. It's completely understandable that the
other people from the realm would jump in to defend him. The original
comment wasn't *that* bad. All the discussion here on the DL has (as usual)
blown the original situation way out of proportion.

Besides, how many times can two armies battle, refit, battle, refit, etc... How
many times can you tell your enemy "Good battle. You fought with honor."
Some taunting across the battlefield livens things up a bit.

Instead of getting angry about, toss a few back! I know that the people you're
fighting would love to get into the occasional battle of wits after the battle of
swords is over.
