Just because we had a relative overcrowding problem before, and
managed to work with it, doesn't mean that now that we have 3 times
that many people we can still do so. Note that we've also added at
least 3 more continents since that time.

Well, I'm obviously not Tom, but everything I've seen about the game
would seem to contradict that. In fact, Tom had to *manually*
increase the gold output of several continents at least once to
compensate for the significantly increased number of people they had
to support.

Sure...but how are we supposed to let things "run their course"? All
the signs seem to indicate that the numbers are just going to keep
rising, and yeah, we can learn new methods of compensating *up to a
point*--but we all want the new continent *anyway.*
Surely we can at least ask Tom for a ballpark estimate of how much
work/how long he thinks it might take to get it up and running...
