OK, here's a scenario that is similar to something I saw recently in
one of my own realms. I'm pretty sure how it would go under the
*current* rules, but I'd like your view on what the consequences of
such situations should be under the proposed new rules:
Realm A has their army in Region R. Realm B, their enemy, has their
army in Region S, next door--it's about the same size. The order is
given to Realm A move out to Region T. Most of the army moves, but
some do not, for whatever reason. A full day passes (2 turns), and
still, despite repeated orders, some of the army remains in Region
R. (We will assume, for the sake of argument, that it can be proven
that they logged in, as the outcome is obvious if they did not).
Realm B's army strikes Region R at the end of the full day, wiping
out approximately 1/5 of Realm A's army. Then it moves to Region T
and wipes out the rest, which is easier because it's now only 4/5 the
size.
In my view, the loss of the troops who stayed in Region R clearly has
an effect on others: without that part of the army, they were unable
to mount an effective defense in Region T.
Can the nobles who stayed be punished?
