Perhaps this calls for adding the ability to further wound an already  
wounded position-holder.  They would naturally be harder to get at,  
since they were already attacked at least once, but one could extend  
the length of the time they spend wounded if one were very skilled  
and very lucky...

At the moment, it's very rare to see a serious wound last for longer  
than a few days, and my understanding is that you can't assault  
someone who's just recovered from being wounded.  That would make it  
next to impossible to achieve 2 weeks out of commission...
