It could be used also if somone needs a gold piece to train, or for some 
entertainment for their troops the turn before tax change, but nothing that 
on a hugely strategic front I could see having any extra use (unless you had 
a large group of characters all giving their extra gold piece, which would 
more or less exactly be abuse) ... however, would the effort be worth it?

I would like a way to transfer small amounts of gold (easier than the 
current method; use a guild, which isn't perfect but works well for short 
term loans) as it would give a nice aspect to RP and small run character 
businesses, but would/could it be implemented without having a slight 
potential for (strategic) abuse?
