I would say that's largely irrelevant to the question of punishment  
and deterrence.  Naturally, it's not good that they're winning due to  
the abuse of the feature, but even if they weren't, there needs to be  
some greater deterrence than there was.

I *did*, in fact, write to Tom about this issue, over a week ago, but  
I've received no reply as yet...
