How about an honor/prestige loss for everyone who's interacted with
that 'noble'?  Essentially the entire realm.  They've been dining with
this peasant and treating him like a noble, as if they can't tell the
difference between the two kinds of people.  It's got to be quite
embarrassing for all of them, even if they don't take it as a threat
to their own nobility.
