[Discuss] Bugtracker: avoiding duplicates

Before I posted my bug to the bugtracker yesterday, I searched if it has
been filed before. I haven't found anything and posted it.
In the meantime it has been closed, and I was told that it is one of
many duplicates. I wondered, as I have searched before to NOT post a
duplicate. Then I searched where I did a failure and found it:
I thought that reseting the filter will allow you to search through all
bugs. But it only searches open bugs, not through closed ones.
So 'my' bug was assumed to be fixed, and therefore not trackable with
the bugtracker defaults. Well now I know that, but maybe the default
settings should be changed so that closed bugs will also be searched
with the default settings?
But the really weired thing is (and it wouldn't have happened like it
did), that I am 100% positive that this bug WAS there yesterday. Now it
seems indeed to be fixed. I am puzzled, as the bug was definitvely not
fixed yesterday.
Nevertheless, sorry for causing even more work, even if I have no idea
who I should have known that it was fixed and that I should have
searched through the closed ones too (but it wasn't fixed yesterday!
*scratches head*).
Bug id #1815
