[Discuss] Can priest become a local lord?

I wonder if priest can become (meaning the game intend that to happen
rather then a bug) a local lord, in the case I am concerned, namely
whether he can be a Duke of a Stronghold where the religion started
from.

Please let me know. Thank you.

Yes, they can become regional lords.
For the moment they do not have to swear fealty, but this is an more
temporarly solution.
This is an recent change on the code and it might not have reached stable
yet.
