[Discuss] Removing a religious leader from power

At the moment there is no way (AFAIK) to remove a religious leader
from power against his/her will.  I have a priest character that is
the leader of a religion and is hated by all the members of that
religion.  He's a religious fanatic, so he's never going to peacefully
step down, and the repeated infiltrator attacks have very little
effect.

I'm not sure what the solution to this problem is, but there needs to
be a way to force a religious (and I suppose guild) leader out of
their position.  Any suggestions?
