I like the idea. However, I am not sure I would like to see it based on EC, 
and one realm per stronghold is a bit harsh... we would see huge numbers of 
realms springing up next to each other maybe one region away, with only 
about 2 TL's per realm initially, causing blitz style wars with whoever can 
recruit a TO sized unit being able to claim another realms regons almost 
instantly, if the opposing realm doesn't have their own units to attack it 
with.

I especially wouldn't like to see two realms next to each other like up in 
Kalmar on EC... between the city and stronghold I don't think they'd ever 
stop fighting over it. But maybe thats just me.
