Ok, then let's change this.
This is a total showstopper to me. It at least halves the fun for everyone who's reduced to blindly following orders. It's stupid, it's a power-trip to the benefit of few.
Let's do away with it.
Ideas?
____________
My 2 suggestions:
1) Enable more Message Groups, at least double what we have now. Allow realms to create many small groups of nobles to focus on specific tasks, rather than 1 or 2 large groups who deal with all realm issues. I believe by utilizing these small groups, more players would have the option to become involved in their realm, if they wished, which would in turn reduce the ammount of people "blindly following orders".
2) Revise the Turn properties. My idea would be to switch to 1 change per day, sort of like the Colonies, but with a maximum 16 hours per character to allow for more activities. That way each player has a full day to recieve and/or issue orders and act on them, as well as more time to discuss/RP *why* the order(s) was issued. I think part of the reason so many people blindly follow orders is because there isn't enough time for the person issuing the order(s) to describe/RP the situation to his/her realmmates before the turn changes & the next events occur. I also feel this would nurture & improve the "lightweight" aspect of the game moreso than the current system does.
