If you play a 4th character and suddenly the counter decides you're
out of time, you can't play without either paying more there and then
or deleting a character. Not ideal.

If the counter is broken, it needs to be fixed, and I trust that Tom
will do so.  Or at least override it like he did last time so people
can still play.
