I've got to agree. It seems stupid to assume that all mergers are
wrong because peasants wouldn't like it. I think the peasant reaction
and extra monsters are a fine thing. But mergers unacceptable?

I keep hearing a lot of people basically saying that any way of
playing BM other than through wars and alliances "ruins the fun for
others." Not just here, but in OOC discussions in-game. Why do people
keep trying to control how the game is played? It's a whole load of
different varieties of fun as-is!
