Oh come on, council positions, even with the "old farts" having
"control" arent that hard to come by. For the sake of arguement, lets
say there are.... 50 realms in BM. I think there are actually quite a
few more.

That makes 200 council positions, not counting dukes.

Lets say there are... 150 cities in all of BM.

That makes 350 council positions. Three hundred and fifty. BM has,
what, 1500 active players? Lets assume that each player has 3
characters. Thats 4500 active characters.

That means about 1 in 13(thats just rough estimation math, I dont
have a calculator out or anything) characters will have a council
position, at any given time.

Those arent bad odds, people. About half the players of BM or more
than half are quiet people who arent going to run for position,
they'll just cast votes. Even in a tyranny, things come down to
votes. How so? Well, dont like your tyrant? Assassinate him. Then
have an election.

And if another "old fart" wins, then get over it: that means that the
majority, or at least the largest portion, of players LIKE the old
farts.

If you really, really want to play in a council position so badly
that the code has to make it easier, lets all take the advice someone
else gave a while back and chant this a bit:
"I cannot win Battlemaster"
"I cannot win Battlemaster"
"I cannot win Battlemaster"

Actually, I wielded more "power" while NOT in a council position than
I did while in a council position, interestingly enough.

One thing I liked about BM was that gaining something like a council
position was that I had to get it. Nobody was going to say, "Oh, lets
be nice and give you a position." Its not that hard to earn one, but
at least its earned. Restricting people from having multiple council
positions on one island is just restricting people from having
positions who have earned them through a long time playing, good RP
(hopefully), and smart politics.

Plus, the rule is pointless anyways for limiting council positions
per account. You could still have one player with 3 rulers: they'd
just all be on different continents.
