Whoops, I meant to address this in my last message, but I forgot.

The usability issue is that there are two things on the page that look
very similar and are very close.

The better solution would be to make them no longer look similar.  I
can't think of a good way to do that since they do, in fact, do
similar things.  But I think the easier solution is to make them not
close to each other (as suggested in my previous mock-up).
