That's a great idea...

But it's never going to happen.

There are far too many people for whom the ability to get even a  
little edge over their characters' military opponents far outweighs  
the value of "playing nice."

If we could get those people out of the game, then sure.  But until  
then, we have 3 choices that I see:
1) Use the same tricks as them
2) Find our own tricks (eg, getting a few extra allies to negate the  
advantage they gain)
3) Get used to losing wars

Note that I'm including option 3 as a serious option: it's perfectly  
possible to have lots of fun RPing about the death of a realm.   
However, you have to be in the right mindset for it.

And it really does get demoralizing when the side you're on *always*  
loses...and even more so when you know it's because you're doing  
things the "right" way, and not sinking to using "dirty tricks" like  
your enemy.
