[Discuss] Stepping down

It's arguable that the ruler holding a dukedom is effectively the
dukedom not existing and just being part of the crown.  In that case,
stepping down and appointing someone else would be simply creating a
new dukedom. (I'm working on a fuedal monarchy, here, rather than a
republic, but that's the best I can do - I don't know much about the
RP that's meant to be behind republics.)
