Yes, you're right, of course. The full title would probably only be
used in very formal situations - sending terms of surrender to a
ruler, or something.  I have a more complicated suggestion, but it
requires much more coding, so I didn't suggest it before.  I'll give a
brief description here.

Have two options, one for full titles, one for a shorter name.  The
full titles are done automatically like I said before, the short ones
are defined by the character you're talking to/about.  On you
paperwork page, you get to choose what to call yourself - not
freeform, though, you have to choose from your available titles.
"Bob, Duke of Blah, Royal Treasurer of Blob" could choose to be "Duke
Bob", "Duke of Blah", "Royal Treasurer Bob", "Royal Treasurer of
Blob", etc.

Styles including things like "Your Excellency" would be good, but that
requires another layer of complication to choose between "Your" and
"His" each time it's used.

This is all much more complicated than just a direct replacement of a
string using information already in the database, though, and I'm not
sure it would add enough to deserve a high spot on the todo list.
