[Discuss] Banning for no reason

I think it needs to be clear that there is no inalienable right to be  
in the realm of your choice: that is, unless there is *evidence* of  
OOC reasons behind your ban, it's not an issue for the Titans, and  
should be rejected out of hand...though, as Aaron says, if there's  
reason to believe the reason *given* is a cover for an OOC reason,  
that should, indeed, be considered.

However, that should be pretty much reversed for *new players* (not  
new characters, because that should be considered a completely  
different case): anyone banning them needs to have an ironclad reason  
to do so...and I would define "new" as "less than a month in-game".

So, to boil that down to be nice and simple:

* Don't ban someone less than 30 days in-game without an ironclad  
reason--if there's *any* doubt, don't do it
* Don't EVER ban without a completely IC reason: if someone needs to  
be banned for OOC reasons, get the ruler to OOC ban him
* Don't complain about a ban after 30 days in-game without serious  
evidence of OOC reasons for the ban

How's that sound?
